Fish and Wildlife Biologist

Major duties include, but are not limited to:
Environmental Impact Assessments:
Collect Data-Assist in consultation process pursuant to Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act of 1973 Perform data analysis and write reports evaluating the findings. Management Planning:
Assist in the developing of comprehensive wildlife management plans Help plan, organize, and implement biological work and/or habitat conservation and development work. Permits/Miscellaneous:
Review and report on permit applications. Attend public meetings and hearings to discuss proposed or existing development projects Prepare and deliver presentations on various aspects of the Fish and Wildlife Service. Physical Demands:
Field work requires some physical exertion such as walking over wet, rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities. The work requires average agility and dexterity. Work Environment:
The work requires both office and outdoor work. The office is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. Temperature and weather extremes may be encountered in the performance of outdoor work. The employee is expected to conduct duties in a safe and orderly manner so as not to endanger self, fellow workers, or property with which entrusted. Only experience and education obtained by September 25, 2019 will be considered. Area of Consideration:

Basic Education Requirement:
Possess a bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited college or university in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or a discipline related to this position, OR Possess a combination of education and experience that included course work equivalent to a major (i.e. 24 semester hours) in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or a discipline related to this position; PLUS appropriate experience or additional course work. NOTE:
The quality of the combination must demonstrate that you possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the work of the position and is comparable to that normally acquired through the completion of a full four year course of study with a major as described above. Additional Qualification:
In addition to the Basic Education Requirements, all applicants must meet the following Additional Qualification Requirements to qualify for this position at the GS-07 level. Please note that in determining your qualifications, your response will be verified against the information you provide in your resume. Possess at least one full year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service. NOTE:
This specialized experience must include:
(1) assisting higher-level biologists conduct investigations/studies to determine impact of actions on fish and wildlife resources and threatened/endangered species; (2) working with professional biologists to conduct field investigations on wildlife biology/ecology; (3) collecting, analyzing, and assessing biological and ecological data; (4) assisting in implementing laws, regulations, policies involving natural resource issues, OR Successful completion of at least one full year (18 semester hours) of graduate education in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position, OR Possess a combination of specialized experience and graduate education as described in A and B above that, when combined, equals 100% of the total requirement, OR Successful completion of a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree in a field of study that demonstrates the competencies required by this position with either (1) a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 based on a 4.0 scale; (2) a 3.5 GPA based on a 4.0 scale for all required courses completed in a qualifying major field of study at either the time of application or during the last two years of your undergraduate curriculum; (3) class standing of upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or a major subdivision of the college; or, (4) membership in a National Scholastic Honor Society certified by the Association of College Honor Societies, excluding freshman honor societies.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
