.Net Web Designer Position Description Provide support in upgrading, maintaining and creating content for Agency web-site under the guidance of Web Project Manager. Provide day-to-day site design and creation. Provide on-the-job training for the development, maintenance, and updating of Web pages. Your future duties and responsibilities Designs page layouts and develops graphics. Maintains and monitors various Web directories, documents, accounts, etc. in conformance to center standards. Works with members of program and project teams to develop site concept, interface design, and architecture. Prepares web materials from written or electronic copy using Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, PageMaker, Percussion(or other) WCMS tools or other web-based development tools. Creates 508 compliant PDF, PPT and other formatted documents and does advanced editing. Ensures Section 508 compliance and accessibility issues. Develops flash and scripts for use on Web. Collaborate with program staff and create web sites. Captions videos Develops the user-centered design structure of the Internet and Intranet Web sites within the approved templates, including the information architecture (navigation schemes and naming conventions) and the page layout (consistent placement of items, including functional features) Maintains the overall functionality of program Internet and Intranet sites. Includes creating pages and links; coding and uploading documents; updating information; creating redirects; fixing broken links; etc. Keeps current on the latest programming trends and technology to keep the Web sites fresh; also compiles online statistics Uses semantic markup, search engine optimization functions, and a user-centered. Conduct annual reviews of Web sites with program staff and coordinate the appropriate revisions of content; maintain and keep current documents which outline the comprehensive system for revising. Evaluate and report findings of the usability of the following Programs Web site and recommendations for improvement. Conducts usability assessments to ensure that information is presented in a clear and concise way, that there is no ambiguity, that text is correctly positioned, etc. Develops mobile sites Required qualifications to be successful in this role Requires a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience. Experience in Web design and layout. Experience with cross-platform and cross-browser development. Knowledge of PDF for web. Knowledge and experience creating 508 compliant web products. Ability to convert documents from various formats such as Word into HTML or PDF for use on Web. Understanding of client web policies and standards and how to comply and implement. Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment. Must possess solid problem-solving skills and be able to balance competing criteria. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills Must be able to interface with the client and content experts Must have an understanding of computer systems and be capable of quickly learning emerging Web technologies. Must have experience gathering Web metrics Experience in XHTML; HTML; CSS; CFM; XML; DHTML; JavaScript; VBScript; ASP; SQL Server; ColdFusion; Dreamweaver; Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, LiveMotion, GoLive, Acrobat; Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Access; Crystal Reports; Crystal Enterprise, Flash. Knowledge of usability, page layout, and navigational structures. Familiarity with public health issues and terminology Documentum Web Publisher or content management system experience. Ability to work with captioning software (e.g., Magpie) to caption videos. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
