AWS Cloud Architect (Solutions) Position Description At CGI Federal's Emerging Technology Practice, we are looking for AWS Solution Architects to deliver IT excellence and create innovative solutions in the Cloud in our Lafayette, LA development center. Work with fellow AWS Architects and Engineers to form the best minds in cloud solutions and give innovative solutions to our clients. Your future duties and responsibilities The AWS Cloud Solution Architect is responsible for the engineering of business and technical solutions in support of CGI Federal's Cloud Practice Group leveraging AWS . The AWS Cloud Solution Architect supports solution development with subject matter experts and engineers to build the Cloud Solution Offerings and participates as a Solution Lead for Cloud Proposals and Opportunities. The AWS Cloud Solution Architect will provide subject matter experience and expertise with the ability to clearly present concepts and services to both internal and external clients in a formal environment. Required qualifications to be successful in this role Minimum of 5 years' experience in government or commercial IT consulting Ability to blueprint, design and deploy scalable, HA and fault tolerant systems on AWS Migration of existing on-prem applications to AWS Write reference architecture, best practices and thought leadership whitepapers Security focused solutions and workloads Ability to identify and enforce AWS architectural best practices Understanding of security compliance, managed services in cloud based workloads Embrace and focus on emerging technology and evangelize to the rest of the team Understanding of Agile, DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is strongly desired Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment knowledge and experience is a plus Must own ability to learn fast, adapt to new technology and keep current with industry certifications The following AWS Certifications are highly desired; significant hands on experience may be substituted: o Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) o Certified Developer - Associate o Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate o Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies: FedRAMP, NIST and FISMA compliance, ATO and security compliances.
