Acts as patient advocate. Uses the nursing process in delivering individualized patient care in accordance with the established policies and procedures of The Regional Medical Center of Acadiana. Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff. Shares knowledge with peers and assists in orientation of new employees. Flexible in meeting the needs of the unit (i.e. changes in work schedule). Communicates effectively with physicians and other department's personnel. Keeps Manager and Nursing Supervisor informed. Participates in Cardiovascular Continuous Quality Improvement.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current license in the State of Louisiana as a Registered Nurse, Current Health Care Provider CPR required. ACLS within one year for new graduates and 6 months for others.
Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
Experience: Successful completion of an orientation program. One year clinical experience preferred.
Special
Qualifications: Good communication skills, computer skills and ability to work with others as a team to ensure quality patient care.
Telemetry - Successful completion of EKG class and/or EKG test within first 6 months of hire.
ER - Requires PALS within 1 year of hire. TNCC and ENPC preferred.
ICU - CCRN Preferred.
Cath Lab - Minimum 1 year Cath Lab or critical care experience preferred. CCRN or RCIS preferred.
PACU - Requires PALS within 1 year of hire. CPAN preferred
Surgery - CNOR preferred.
Employment Type: PRN/Per DiemEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
