Have 1 year contract here in Lafayette for Regulatory Specialist
Proficient in the regulations at 30 CFR 250 Offshore Oil & Gas Operations and Office of Conservation - Title 43- 29B to work with engineers, operations, drafting, consultants and regulatory agencies to prepare and/or manage permitting relating to oil & gas operations on OCS, State lands and State waters. Clear understanding and knowledge of State and Federal Regulatory Agencys processes and electronic permitting systems. Prepare and/or manage permit applications required of Federal and State agencies (BOEM, BSEE, USCOE, USCG, DNR, OOC) in support of drilling, completion, well workover and abandonment operations in the Gulf of Mexico, in State waters and on State lands in the Gulf Coast Region through the approval process. Some examples include: oApplications for Permit to Sidetrack/Bypass oApplication for Permit to Modify oDM-4R o Weekly Activity Reports o End of Operation Reports, oWH-1s, MD-10-RA, P&A Reports & Form Comp oFinal Schematics oR-4s oEEPs Maintain positive, professional relationships with governmental agencies and internal customers to resolve permitting issues and expedite approval to minimize risk to project schedules, reduce downtime, and maximize production. Provide guidance, information and training to insure customers understand current and new regulatory requirements which impact regulatory compliance. Interact with Permitting Team to insure there is appropriate coverage to meet business needs.
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
Thorough knowledge of well construction diagrams, terminology, procedures and experience with both State and Federal regulations is desired.
