We're currently looking for someone with experience doing the following:

JOB TITLE: PDMS Piping Designer
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Drafting Manager
MANAGES: None
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Occasional overtime to include weekends as dictated by project requirements.

JOB
Summary:
The PDMS Piping Designer will be responsible for detail piping design and drawings for complex, deepwater offshore piping design systems utilizing Company PDMS software.

Essential Functions:
oAssist engineers and designers in resolving piping design issues.
oInteract with client for Discipline Drafting related issues.
oPrepare layouts and Engineering drawings for assigned projects from information and/or verbal instructions with little or no supervision required.
oEnsure that all Draft drawings adhere to Client, Industry and Company Standards.
oMay serve as a Checker of Design drawings and or layouts.
oResponsible for keeping direct Supervisors updated on any and all concerns relating to their respective assignments and discipline.
oBe available for site and vendor visits as required.
oOther various project responsibilities as required.

JOB STANDARDS:
oRequires a High school diploma or equivalent.
oRequires a minimum of seven (7) years of piping layout and design experience relating to the Upstream Oil & Gas market.
oMust have advanced working knowledge of Company PDMS software.
oMust be proficient in PDMS
oRequires knowledge and ability to work with MS Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
oMust have a working knowledge of ASME B31.3, ASME B31.8, API RP 14C, and OSHA codes and standards.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
oWork is primarily conducted in an office environment (Private, Semi-Private Office or office cubicle) but may also requires occasional travel to off-site work locations.
oField duties require outdoor work in an offshore platform atmosphere;
oInteraction with other team members, as well as supervisors and client personnel;
oWorking offshore areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels;
oMust be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection;
oMay be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes;
oMay be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
oMust be able to lift and carry 20 pounds;
oSufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employee to communicate effectively;
oAbility to sit for prolonged periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation.
oSufficient vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodations, which permits employee to conduct analysis and investigations;

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
