What you'll be doing:
The Compliance Specialist is responsible for conducting investigations on reported compliance concerns, assisting in development of education material, as well as supporting the Compliance Department with other various ad-hoc projects.
A successful candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Conducts and coordinates compliance investigations on concerns reported.
Such concerns may include potential kickback situations, Stark Law violations, exclusions, or sanctions, EMTALA violations, and other potential violations of State and Federal laws and regulations.
Maintains all investigation notes and files in a contemporaneous, organized manner within the incident-reporting database.
Escalates urgent issues to Compliance Manager or VP, Compliance, as necessary.
Stays abreast of new, existing, and proposed federal and state laws and regulations by reviewing regulatory bulletins, websites, and other sources of information and ensures appropriate processes are implemented for compliance with such laws/regulations.
Work cross-functionally with various department management (HR, IT, Operations, Accounting/Finance, Revenue Cycle, etc.
) Contributes to education content and assists in training, as necessary.
Accurately tracks, reports, and communicates employee Conflict of Interest disclosures.
Assists in the development of compliance P&Ps.
Exhibits the Companys Core Values and complies with the Code of Conduct.
Other duties as assigned.
Who/What we are looking for:
1-3 year of previous healthcare compliance experience CHC Preferred Bachelors degree preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently Ability to quickly learn new tools / applications Ability to think and work analytically Strong intrapersonal skills Ability to communicate and work effectively with employees at all levels Strong organizational and attention-to-detail abilities and skills Knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to healthcare To learn more about SCP Health, please visit:
