Position Overview:
The Hours-of-Service Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and auditing driver log data to ensure records and time worked are compliant with FMCSA and company standards.
The ideal candidate must possess a high level of confidence and professionalism to successfully interact with all levels of the organization.
Primary Roles &
Responsibilities:
Utilizes various systems and reports to verify accuracy of driver duty status records Performs weekly audits to compare dispatch history against driver duty statuses Works closely with drivers and management to resolve non-compliance and/or record discrepancies Assists drivers and terminals with troubleshooting issues related to electronic log devices Provides ongoing feedback and updates to leaders as necessary Maintains a basic understanding of the organization and other areas of Compliance to support as needed Required Skills/
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent Strong organization and attention to detail skills Effective and professional communication and conflict management skills Ability to multi-task in a time-sensitive work environment Experience working with Microsoft Office applications (moderate to advanced Excel skills preferred) Previous experience in any customer service role or similar strongly preferred History/knowledge of FMCSA and/or DOT rules and regulations will be given additional consideration Job Type:
