SUMMARY The Drafting Technician is required to create CAD drawings of construction progress from Survey data collected on site projects.
JOB FUNCTIONS Perform detailed 2D and 3D quantity takeoffs using industry-standard software tools.
Import, process, and analyze survey data to support construction planning and execution.
Generate cross-sectional drawings and profiles for pre-construction, progress tracking, and as-built documentation.
Coordinate closely with the survey department and project management team to ensure alignment with project requirements and specifications.
Maintain accurate records of quantity takeoffs, survey data, and survey drawings.
Assist in reviewing and verifying construction quantities, dimensions, and specifications.
Participate in project meetings to provide technical support and updates on quantity takeoff and survey-related activities.
Adhere to project schedules and deadlines to ensure timely delivery of quantity takeoffs and drawings.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, REQUIREMENTS Associate degree in environmental science, civil engineering or construction management also acceptable Minimum of 1-2 years of proven drafting experience required Understanding of survey and construction layout, GPS experience preferred Proficient with general computer programs, AutoCAD, Civil3D, scheduling software Demonstrate good interpersonal skills, punctuality, versatility, and have a strong work ethic.
