Summary The Services Coordinator will have a generous heart, patience, and the ability to be flexible with the program and migrant client's evolving needs.
General tasks include:
Entering prospective client information into Louisiana Office of Refugee's confidential database to request benefits as provided by the U.
S.
Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR); Referring clients to community services focusing on language, job, skills, and healthcare; and Providing light transportation to community partners to assist clients in obtaining services.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
Intakes:
Meeting with prospective clients for up to two hours to intake information and determine whether the inquiring person is eligible for services and ORR benefits.
Service Planning:
Creating client-specific service plans, to help clients progress on a pathway to economic self-sufficiency.
Service Coordination:
Making requests to Louisiana Office of Refugees and referrals to partner community providers and within CCA to help clients achieve their service plan goals.
Case and Document Management:
Work with the Immigration Services Director to implement data record collection and preservation policies, ensuring all required and useful client data is accurately, securely, and thoroughly maintained, in an easy-to-recall manner.
Transportation Services:
Provide necessary transportation to clients, as required, to help them access services available to them.
Client Relations:
Exhibit politeness, courtesy, and empathy.
This role requires a focus on client needs, a sensitivity to cultural differences, and a dedication to facilitating migrants' integration into the local community.
Occasional Receptionist Services:
Warmly greeting visitors and callers in English or Spanish; assessing the visitor or caller's needs; if apt, directing the person to coworkers for assistance.
Job Qualifications Fluency in Spanish Highly-organized record-keeping and documentation skills Effective communication and personal skills Possession of a valid Louisiana driver's license and an insured motor vehicle in which to transport clients on an as-needed basis.
Prior experience in social work or a related-field is a plus, but is not required.
Job Specifications Medium:
Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects 100% of the time.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
