This particular job profile requires a worker to have strength and stamina to cope with physical functions.
The role of a Warehouse Worker is crucial for the shipping, receiving and appropriate handling of goods and materials.
Warehouse Workers are also tasked with stocking, delivery and general maintenance such as sweeping and trash disposal.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities -Loading and unloading of goods and materials while ensuring proper handling of the same.
-Proper packing, labeling and tagging of inventory in warehouse.
-Ensure cleanliness and proper stocking/ facing of inventory in the work area along with maintaining tidiness and cleanliness standards of the warehouse and the showroom floor.
-Tracking and reporting of all damaged or missing goods and materials to the proper supervising authority.
-Assisting in conducting cycle counts of inventory -Conducting regular checks and maintenance functions of all warehouse machinery like forklifts, pallet jacks, vehicle functions such as the vehicle's brakes, controls, fuel content etc.
must be checked on a daily basis before starting out for the day's activities.
-Working in accord with all safety regulations of the warehouse.
Specifications -Basic knowledge of using and operating warehouse machinery, equipment and computerized inventory receiving systems.
-Should be physically fit and able to complete all assigned work efficiently.
-Should possess time management skills and be able to meet goals and expectations set by the supervisory staff.
-Cell phone usage and smoking will not be allowed with the exception of a 10 minute break at 10am, 1hour lunch at 12pm and another 10 minute break at 3pm.
These times may vary depending on workload/ time sensitive issues.
-Failure to comply with or satisfy any the above terms at any time, can and will result in termination of employment.
Education and Qualifications -High school diploma or a GED equivalent certificate from a certified institution.
