$42,000Logistics Coordinators are expected to work in a fast-paced environment alongside Customer Service Representatives to ensure that we continually exceed the expectations of all customersYou will develop a working knowledge for the transportation and logistics industry while learning how to create cost effective solutions for every shipment.
Essential FunctionsAnswer phones in timely manners while maintaining professional phone etiquetteSchedule pick-up and delivery appointments for each shipmentDevelop professional relationships with partner carriers to ensure great serviceThrough the company's network of partner carriers, source carriers that meet the operational requirements of available shipmentsDevelop new partner carriers to grow the company's network of partner carriersNegotiate freight rates with carriersEnter shipment and carrier information accurately in the company's operating systemEnsure on time pick-up and delivery for every load and take proactive steps to eliminate service failuresProactively communicate with customers and facilities on shipment statusesMonitor carrier performance data to anticipate customer service issues, opportunities & risks Provide management with feedback on business levels, projects, tasks given, any concerns on carrier performance, and customer issues.
