Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Capital Projects & Operations Manager to lead and oversee our organization's operational policies, objectives, and initiatives.
This crucial role will have a strong focus on capital projects and improvements.
By collaborating with various teams and stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organization's future growth and success.
Willing to work a flexible schedule that includes availability on some nights and weekends.

1.
Project Management Plan, budget, and execute lease-hold improvements aligned with the organizational plan of work and overall budget.
Manage capital projects including communication with stakeholders, oversight of on-site contractors and the integration of construction timelines into the Park's operational plan.
Review and coordinate plans, specifications, contract documents, and cost estimates for projects, programs, and equipment.
Plan and ensure execution of regularly scheduled overall Park, facilities, and equipment inspections.
Inspect Park and facilities to ensure proper care and maintenance of property, making recommendations regarding necessary improvements or measures needed to protect the natural environment.
Oversee ongoing projects and activities, such as paid parking systems, paver fundraising campaigns, and park-wide signage installations.
Responsible for supervision of third-party contractors retained by the Park, ensuring that contractors deliver high-quality work and comply with contractual obligations and safety standards.
Act as a liaison for neighborhood and community groups, addressing their concerns and inquiries related to construction projects within the Park.

Operations Collaborate with the team to develop operational strategies for the Park's overall functioning.
Implement strategies to optimize the Park's operations and improve efficiency.
Work with the entire team to define and document processes that streamline park and business operations, ensuring that these processes are clearly communicated.
Maintain records, prepare reports, and compose correspondence relevant to the Park.
Identify and develop operational processes to address specific departmental requirements.
Maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders such as suppliers, vendors, and partners.
Assist with grant administration, ensuring compliance with grant guidelines and deadlines, while effectively managing allocated resources.
Aid and support for park events, ensuring smooth execution and successful outcomes.

Security, Safety and Risk Management Work directly with local law enforcement to ensure safety & minimize incidents.
Coordinate patrol activities to detect any violations of park rules, or the existence of hazardous conditions.
Oversee security measures to safeguard park visitors.
Assist law enforcement personnel in handling and resolving any law enforcement situations that arise within the park.
Manage and coordinate all inspection programs within the park.
Prepare detailed reports on the status of current safety initiatives.
Review, recommend revisions, and interpret rules, regulations, and laws to enhance safety and compliance.
Plan, organize, and coordinate the overall safety, emergency preparedness, and loss prevention program, resolving potential safety concerns.
Conduct safety meetings for all employees; prepare safety training for all employees regarding CPR, first aid, and emergency preparedness.
Review and investigate claims of losses and accidents, and document findings.

Fiscal Responsibility Plan and prepare operational budget; oversee park operational expenditures.
Manage procurement and oversee distribution of site materials and supplies.
Review and/or prepare supporting documentation related to park purchasing.
Maintain records and prepare necessary reports, including financial reports that account for revenues and expenditures.
Prepare monthly expense, revenue, and visitation reports.
Work cross-functionally to monitor federal, state, or grant funded projects.
Required Qulaifications:
A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Project Management & Planning, Environmental Science, Park & Recreation Management, or related field.
5 years' experience in varied management and/or operational positions.
Competency & Skill Requirements:
Additional Skills - excels at strategical thinking; excellent communication and leadership skills; good negotiation abilities; a sound knowledge of finance planning and strategy planning, along with business administration; ability to work well under pressure; exceptional management capabilities.
Public Speaking - will need to assist in representing the organization in a public capacity.
Excellent interpersonal, public relations, oratory, and presentation skills are a must.
Professionalism - will be a visible partner in the organization and must carry themselves in a respectful manner to ensure community confidence in the project, and in our team.
