Water Quality Inspector Classification:
Part time $14/hour (With opportunity for an increase in pay after 90 days) 24 hours/3 days per week.
The Water Quality Inspector will assist the Lead Inspector in carrying out daily sewage system inspections.
This involves checking that all the components of each system are functioning properly.
Water Quality Inspectors will document the results of the inspection and communicate those results to the homeowner.
The goal of inspections is to reduce fecal coliform contamination in the Vermilion River.
Duties:
Assist in sewage system inspections Report and document all aspects of inspections Work outdoors in all weather conditions Be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis Excavate sewage systems when buried Perform routine water sampling in the Vermilion River Effectively and professionally communicate with home and business owners Please email your resume with a cover letter to Water Quality Department at water@bayouvermiliondistrict.
