Network Administrator

Under the supervision of the Director of Systems Operations, the SysOps Admin / Network Administrator assists in all aspects of Systems Management, Network Management and Telephony Management. This role provides analytical and systematic support to the Director of Systems Operations and maintains the computing environment by identifying infrastructure requirements, installing upgrades and monitoring day-to-day operations, performance, availability and security of infrastructure systems. Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
Establishes infrastructure specifications by conferring with users, analyzing workflow, access, information and security requirements. Maintains infrastructure by evaluating network and system performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency, planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment and establishing connections. Maintains infrastructure security by performing network and system monitoring and analysis, troubleshooting issues and escalating problems to vendor (if necessary) and evaluating firewall ACLs, IPS/IDS reports and proactive analysis. Upgrades infrastructure by conferring with vendors, developing, testing, evaluating and installing enhancements. Enhance job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal lab environments and/or participating in professional organizations. Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential. Maintain verbal security while speaking to non-compartmental associates and while outside the facility. Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Be available for on call support when assigned or when critical emergencies arise. Support staff and organization in assigned project-based work. Skills:

The successful candidate should be highly organized, and detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, plus the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. It is also important that they display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to present ideas in user friendly language. Analytical. Administrators need analytical skills to evaluate network and system performance and determine how changes in the environment will affect it. Communicative. Administrators must be able to describe problems and their solutions to non-IT workers. Knowledgeable. Administrators oversee the connections of many different types of computer equipment and must ensure that they all work together properly. Multitasking. Administrators may have to work on many problems and tasks at the same time. Problem-solving. Administrators must be able to quickly resolve any problems that arise with computer networks.
Experience:
Thorough knowledge of, but not limited to at least one of the following disciplines:
Networking Administration:
Network technologies and equipment (Cisco, HPe), such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, network management and diagnostic tools, cloud-based networking infrastructure and automation, network security Systems Administration:
Systems technologies and equipment, such as blade servers, SAN fabrics (iSCSI, FC), enterprise storage solutions and appropriate management applications for these systems, virtualization technologies (VMware ESX, Horizon, Microsoft Hyper-V, Red Hat Virtualization), server operating systems (Microsoft, RedHat), infrastructure (AD, DNS, DHCP), Backups (Veeam), cloud-based systems infrastructure (Microsoft 365, AWS) and automation, systems security And a Minimum of 4 years of experience with network and/or systems installations, configurations and troubleshooting in a corporate network environment. Accredited certifications in network or systems administration

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
