CGI is seeking an expert in UI design, UX design, and front-end development to join its Healthcare Practice. The candidate must have a keen understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks and are proficient in crafting interfaces for a positive and cohesive user experience. The primary focus of the selected candidate would be on developing user interface components, implementing and executing using Angular/ React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux). Candidate will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to manage. Responsibilities:
o Collaborate with the stakeholders, the users, the build team and other development partners to implement state-of-the-art user experiences. o Engage with architects/product team to comprehend functional challenges, prototype new ideas, and new technologies, and help to create innovative UX solutions. o Design and architect a modern highly responsive web-based user interface for Microservices based web application. o Leverage the latest tools and techniques of web UI/UX Development spectrum. o Understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements. o Develop the latest user-facing features using React.js, Angular, and/or Node.js. o Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use. o Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code. o Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers. o Mentor UI developers, which may include performing code reviews. o Suggest tools, technologies, and best practices that improve stability. o Coordinate with back-end developers in the process of building the RESTful API. o Empower UI teams in following best coding standards. o As a front-end developer, be involved from conception to completion with projects that are technologically sound and aesthetically impressive. Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
o Proficiency in one or more modern JavaScript frameworks like Angular (6 or above) and/or React.js, Node.js. o Skills in one or more frameworks/libraries like jQuery or Bootstrap. o Good understanding of AJAX, Type Script, JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model. o Strong expertise with HTML5, CSS5, and writing cross-browser compatible code. o Experience with CSS precompilers like Sass and LESS. o Experience in developing complex Angular applications, directives, controllers, services. o Thorough understanding of React.js and popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux). o Experience with testing frameworks like Jasmine, Karma, Mocha. o Experience writing Section 508 compliant code is a plus. o Familiarity with RESTful APIs. o Understanding of Java web application technology stack (core Java, spring core, Spring MVC, Hibernate, REST). o Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools, and continuous integration using Maven and Jenkins. o A knack for benchmarking and optimization. o Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git/GitHub. o Excellent conceptual and critical thinking capabilities. o Self-directed and self-motivated with the ability to take charge or play a supporting role. o Clear written and verbal communications skills. o Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
