Mortgage Loan Processing Manager at First Horizon National Corporation in Lafayette, LA
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES o Knowledge and understanding of processing loans for multiple types of mortgage products including but not limited to - agency, government, portfolio, and Construction to Perm loans. o Assist with the review of documentation for complex loans o Monitor Pipeline Report to confirm the loan files for processing are distributed equally, adjust when needed. o Monitor Pipeline Report to confirm loan files are being reviewed and submitted to underwriting within designated timeframes. o Monitor initial disclosures and change of circumstances are completed timely o Monitor Reg. B timelines to insure a loan has been submitted for review in timely manner. o Problem Resolution:
When there is an issue on files, the assigned processor will go to processing manager - If the processing manager can't resolve the issue the processing manager will ask for assistance from the Operations Manager. o Approve/ Deny Vacation Request:
Always to insure the Processing Department has sufficient coverage. o Hire and Train new processors to insure full knowledge of products and processing procedures. o Maintain training for processors on new product and procedures. o All other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Assists with directing, coordinating, and evaluating designated Regions or certain personnel in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; providing pay change recommendations; disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Bachelor (4-year college) from four-year college or university or a minimum of 10 years of related experience and/or training preferably as a Mortgage Processor. Experience supervising required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. SKILLS/ABILITIES Requires incumbent to be detail oriented and have reconciliation skills. Also requires good interpersonal skills and a highly motivated individual. COMPUTER AND OFFICE EQUIPMENT SKILLS 1. Microsoft Office suite 2. Special software:
Experience with mortgage processing system required, experience with Encompass a plus; Knowledge of automated underwriting systems preferred.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Banking, Loans & InsuranceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
