JOB
Summary: The Medical Support Assistant assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on patients' charts. May serve as a preceptor for clinical staff. Coordinates patient flow, schedules appointments, procedures, tests and referrals. Will assist with receptionist duties, such as filing, setting appointments, and providing proper documentation on patient files.
Experience: 6 months experience in a medical clinic setting or successful completion of externship at an FMOLHS physician clinic. Secretarial experience preferred
EDUCATION: High School or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
LICENSURE: Current CPRCertification
Schedule: DAYSEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
