, a division of Acadian Ambulance Services, has an immediate opening for a full-time Billing Specialist I at our Kaliste Saloom location in Lafayette, LA. The hours are 8:00am-5:00pm (Monday - Friday).
Overall Responsibility:
Responsible for processing, compiling, analyzing and managing the receivables
for assigned payor type.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Process, compile, and analyze receivables for assigned payor type
Monitor payments to verify accuracy
Process and reconcile payments
Handle inbound customer calls and correspondence
Verify accuracy of patient billing information
Requirements:
2-5 years of Medicare, Medicaid and/or Insurance Billing experience
Knowledge of HIPAA and third party payor regulations
Excellent communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Knowledge of Windows based
computer
system
High school education or equivalent
EOE/AAEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
